Appointments Ampthill Surgery (Tel. 01525 631391)

The practice operates an appointment system called Advanced Access, which is designed to help patients obtain an appointment on  the day that they phone.

For patients who wish to pre-book a limited number of  pre-booked
appointments are available with all the  GPs up to a month in advanced.  

If you cannot keep your appointments please let our reception know, either by phoning the surgery, or cancelling your appointment online so someone else can have your appointment.

Wiltstead

• We are running two nurse led clinics on a Tuesday at
  9.00am - 10.30am and Thursday at 2.00pm - 3.30pm at:
• Wilstead Pharmacy, 1 The Cross Roads, Wilstead.

During holiday times sessions might change.

• Our Phlebotomist will continue her session on a
  Thursday morning at 9.00am - 10.30am at Wilstead in the pharmacy.
• The patients who have difficulty getting to Ampthill will take priority and we ask if you are able to travel to Ampthill that you still do so.
• Due to limited waiting area please do not come too early for your appointment.

Out of Hours

From 2nd October Care UK and East of England Ambulance Service have been appointed by the Primary Care Trust to develop an integrated out-of-hours and urgent care service for this area.

When you ring the surgery 01525 631390 you will be given the number of the deputising service.

Emergency calls will be dealt with by the deputising service ‘Primecare’.

The Practice no longer provides Saturday morning surgeries and The Primary  Care Trust are now responsible for providing medical cover over the weekends and Bank Holidays.

Home Visits/Enquiries

Please try to request visits before 11a.m.  A brief description of the symptoms helps the doctors to plan their rounds.

Please use office hours for routine enquiries. (8.50am – 6pm).

Home visits will be carried out as normal to those patients who are too ill or infirm to brought up to surgery.
