Objectives and Structure of the Patient Participation Group

The Patient Participation Group was established in March 2005 to assist the improvement of services provided by the Practice to all the patients and to promote better understanding and communication between patients and Practice. At present nine patients attend as well as a Doctor,  Practice Nurse, Receptionist and the Practice Manager.

The objectives of the group are the 3 C's:
Communication, Consultation and Contribution.

1. To develop a newsletter
2. To be a link of communication between patients and practice and future changes in the practice will be discussed at the meetings.
3. Fundraising and in the future to organise health promotion days and activities such as organised walks.
